This year’s Hathaway Brown School performing arts residency features PROJECT Trio, a passionate, high energy chamber music ensemble comprised of three virtuosic composer/performers from Brooklyn, New York.
PROJECT Trio is dedicated to galvanizing artistic awareness through performance, education and community engagement. By combining classical repertoire with elements of hip-hop and popular music, they have made an impact on audiences of all ages. Along with their landmark music videos, PROJECT Trio is a musical experience defining a new level of entertainment.
PROJECT Trio is in Residence at HB from April 4-6, teaching classes in all divisions, working closely with our performing ensembles, offering a sharing of works during assemblies, and a community master class for all upper school students and faculty.
See photos of their work with the Middle School Orchestra, Upper School Orchestra and 5th and 4th Grade General Music Classes below! The musicians worked with the students on musical improvisation, rhythm games and beat boxing.
The HB Upper School was also treated to a special concert from PROJECT Trio in the Ahuja Auditorium on Wednesday afternoon:
The Hathaway Brown community is also invited to attend a live PROJECT Trio concert featuring the HB Middle School orchestra on April 5 at Andrews Osborne Academy on at 7 p.m. Tickets are available here and are $10 for adults, and students and faculty are free.
